Over £1,000 annual energy bill saving with an Air Source Heat Pump…

Reducing energy costs and environmental impact with an Air Source Heat Pump

Mr & Mrs Jenkins are homeowners in Southampton who were looking for ways to reduce their energy bills and their negative impact on the environment. After doing thorough research and taking advice from Infinity, they decided to install Solar PV panels and an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) in their home.

Mr & Mrs Jenkins benefit from the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) grant…

The installation cost for the ASHP was £10,900, but they were able to receive a one-off BUS grant of £5,000, reducing the net cost of the installation to £5,900.

The government has now increased the Heat Pump grant from £5,000 to £7,500 – get it before they take it away.

The Samsung Air Source Heat Pump installed offers efficient performance in all seasons, delivering low operating costs all year-round.

Mr & Mrs Jenkins are able to control and monitor the status of their Samsung ASHP remotely through the SmartThings App and make any adjustments necessary.

Before the installation of solar PV panels and ASHP, the Jenkins’ were spending around £1,710.61 per year on electricity and gas with a combined total of around 20,711 kWh per year.

However, after the installation of PV and ASHP, they reported that their energy usage dropped significantly to 8,066.4 kWh per year, and they were now paying only £517.51 for all their energy usage.

The couple were thrilled with savings on their energy bills; a total of £1,193.10 per year exceeded their expectations. They predicted that their investment of £5900 would be recovered after 4.94 years.
