The ideal property heating upgrade:
Mr Wells in Fleet wanted to upgrade his property with renewable energy solutions. The aim was to become more energy efficient while also reducing his carbon footprint. Several energy-saving measures were proposed by Infinity Energy Services including installing an air source heat pump, combined with solar PV and battery storage.
Installing an air source heat pump enables Mr Wells to benefit from the financial grant available via the Government’s Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme.
The RHI is a financial incentive to promote the use of renewable heating, with payments received every quarter for 7 years. In order to be eligible for this grant, the air source heat pump has to be an ‘air-to-water’ heat pump, like the one we installed for Mr Wells.
Following our site visit, survey and understanding of Mr Wells’ aims, we installed an MCS-accredited Samsung EHS (Generation 6) air source heat pump.
This is the latest generation of Samsung’s air-to-water heat pumps and uses efficient heat pump technology to deliver supreme comfort and low operating costs. We also installed a Solar PV system combined with Tesla Powerwall battery storage, which enables Mr Wells to store the energy created and intelligently delivers it to him when he needs it.
The air source heat pump is an economical renewable heat source that requires very low maintenance.
As well as the Domestic RHI payments of £1,130 Mr Wells will receive for 7 years, the Government also offers householders installing a heat pump where monitoring is needed an extra financial incentive of £1,610 to install a Metering and Monitoring Service Package (MMSP) too.
With the fuel saving, low running costs and these excellent financial incentives, an air source heat pump offers a great return on investment.
