- Listed buildings: If your property is a listed building – and there are many across Somerset, particularly in Wells, Glastonbury, Frome, Bruton, and the villages of the Mendip and Quantock Hills – you will almost certainly need Listed Building Consent before installing solar panels. The installation must be reversible and must not alter the building’s character or appearance.
