Boiler Upgrade Scheme changes to claim the £7,500 grant

We’re pleased to share an update from the Government regarding the Boiler Upgrade Scheme.

From 8th May 2024, the Government’s changes to the Boiler Upgrade Scheme Grant kicked-in.

These changes meant claiming the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant was made significantly easier due to the easing of the energy efficiency requirements.

What do the changes mean for me?

Previously you had to have loft and cavity wall insulation to benefit from the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant to reimburse your Heat Pump cost.

From 8th May 2024, you no longer require loft or cavity wall insulation in your home, so you can go right ahead and claim the £7,500 grant today!

Have you failed to qualify previously?

UK homes no longer need to have loft or cavity wall insulation to enjoy the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme reimbursement grant.

The £7,500 grant acts as a subsidy to encourage homeowners to replace their old, inefficient boilers with innovative renewable technologies such as a Heat Pump.

What if I’ve already got Loft or Cavity Wall Insulation?

If your property already has loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, or both, then there’s no change whatsoever – you can enjoy the £7,500 grant immediately.

Installing a Heat Pump to a property with existing insulation will only reap even more benefits for you, so it’s doubly good news!
